Specially created to celebrate the arrival of warmer weather and sunshine filled ‘field days’ with friends and family, Honest Brew has collaborated with Northern Monk to produce Field Days, a new fruit-first pale ale.

An independent brewery based in Leeds, Northern Monk is one of the North’s fastest-growing companies, also ranked 49th in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies To Work For 2020 list. With community and collaboration at the core of Northern Monk’s business, the brewery focuses on working with people sharing their passion and values, regularly providing charities and organisations with £5,000 grants through the Faith in Futures Foundation. They also collaborate with national and international breweries, businesses, and causes, to help strengthen the North for positive change.

In partnership with HonestBrew the UK’s leading online direct to consumer craft beer retailer, Field Days is a fruity pale ale brewed with Idaho 7, Citra, and Cashmere hops. A lurid, flucloxacillin yellow beer, Field Days has prominent tropical aromas of mango and pineapple, plus a whisper of banana. Bright tropical notes continue on the palate, with Solero ice lolly character, joined by some typical malt sweetness, a sour lactic twang, and feint bitterness that’s refreshing and lingers on the palate. A juicy, well-balanced beer that’s eminently quaffable, perfect for summer.

On the launch of HonestBrew x Northern Monk Field Days, Craig Wilmott, Co-Founder & Director of Beer at HonestBrew said: “Beer’s a social drink, so we can’t wait to get out and get back to enjoying it with friends and family. As we’ll be hanging out in parks and gardens for the foreseeable, we’ve teamed up with Northern Monk to bring the summer feeling forwards with the tropical taste of Field Days.”

Russell Bisset, Founder and Managing Director at Northern Monk, added: “We’ve teamed up with HonestBrew to make a beer that symbolises positivity. Field Days is a nod to an upcoming spring and summer filled with friends and family, re-capturing the memories and experiences that we all missed out on last year. We’re looking forward to (safely) sharing a few cans of Field Days in the sunshine with our loved ones this year.”

HonestBrew x Northern Monk Field Days is available via the HonestBrew website. RRP £4.99, 440ml.
