Strength: 5.4% ABV

Brewed: Tottenham Hale, London

Not only does Beavertown Brewery adorn the World’s coolest labels (see above), their range of Beers is also implausible. Named after the old Cockney name given to the De Beauvoir area of London, where the brand was born in 2011, they now operate from a site in Tottenham Hale. Having upgraded to a premises with a 50HL Brew House to work from, Beavertown’s Alpha Series features five Beers, with their American Pale Ale – Gamma Ray taking this week’s Beer of the Week slot.

Originally crafted as a Beer with the intention to become both juicy and tropical, Gamma Ray is a highly drinkable beverage brewed with whole leaf American Hops in order to account towards a huge Hop flavour. Beginning with notes of Hibiscus, White Grape and Grapefruit, there’s a potent citrusy taste that lingers with an ever-so-slightly bitter finish. Beware; it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to give up after just one can of this delicious APA.

Beavertown Brewery can be found at Unit 17-18 Lockwood Industrial Park, Mill Mead Road, London, N17 9QP and their full range can be purchased from beavertownbrewery.co.uk.
