Handmade Festival have announced the new line-up additions for the fourth edition of the Leicester-based festival. Joining the recently announced We Are Scientists and 65daysofstatic are Lonely The Brave, Los Campesinos! and Pretty Vicious.

Following on from their biggest ever headline tour alongside Black Peaks, anthemic rock quintet Lonely The Brave are currently putting the finishing touches to their new record. In addition, having recently sold out a UK tour with Bruising, Los Campesinos! will be joining the line-up to exhibit their unique brand of energetic indie pop. Also added to the bill are Welsh indie rock quartet Pretty Vicious, who recently played alongside The Courteeners.

Alongside the new headline announcements three new partners have also been announced to help curate the festival: Upset Magazine, Wichita Records and BBC Introducing East Midlands. Speaking about the new partners for the festival organiser John Helps says:

“We’re incredible excited to welcome UPSET MAGAZINE, WICHITA RECORDS and BBC INTRODUCING EAST MIDLANDS who join LAST.FM, BIG SCARY MONSTERS and ALCOPOP as stage curators for Handmade 2016. We’ve had a long relationship with Dean Jackson and the guys at BBC Introducing East Midlands and are delighted that they’re joining with us this year. Whilst relatively new, Upset have already established themselves nationally with an outlook on music that’s totally aligned with ours – which is about the most important thing, really. Wichita are a label we’ve all been consistently awestruck by – so it’s fantastic that they’ll be contributing to our line-up in a big way this year. We can’t wait to work with them all to put together a great line-up for our 2016 programme.”

Handmade Festival is returning to Leicester’s O2 Academy over May bank holiday weekend (29th April – 1st May 2016).

There are still many more acts performing across multiple stages to be announced. Weekend tickets are on sale now for just £30 from http://www.handmadefestival.co.uk
