Vote for your favourite image for the Press Photograph of the Year award from SWNS

The UK’s largest independent press agency, SWNS, has opened the voting for their Press Photograph of the Year award 2015.

The photos are made up of national news images supplied through SWNS from both staff their own staff photographers and members of the public who sell their images to the press through the agency.

SWNS provides up to 20% of all daily print news content in the UK, and has seen rapid expansion through acquisitions in recent years.

The SWNS picture editors have picked out one hundred of the most compelling images from the SWNS newswire from the past year.

Below are a number of our picks, but to see the full 100 images and place your vote, visit: http://images.swns.com/swns-picture-of-the-year-2015-vote-now#prettyPhoto

Once you visit the competition site, simply vote for your favourites by ticking the heart icon next to each photo (you can vote for more than one). The image that receives the most love will be announced in January.

The sun rises over Salisbury Plain as it's light illuminates the mist shrouding Stonehenge, Wiltshire, July 7 2015. Amateur photographer Robin Morrison made half a dozen visits to the ancient megalith, travelling over a hundred miles each time, to capture the precise lighting conditions he wanted. The normal weather patterns in the UK mean that a clear sky just a few minutes after sunrise is uncommon - a clear sky at sunrise combined with a misty morning is an extremely rare occurrence.
