If you are in charge of planning the works do and find your co-workers are tired of boozy parties which often end in drunken antics and raging hangovers, and then why not organize something a little different this year?

Choosing an activity that is a bit different will make your team’s downtime more entertaining and is great for bonding. Before you choose an activity make sure that you consider everyone’s needs and interests. It can be challenging to think outside the box but here are a few ideas to give you some inspiration:

  1. Paintballing

Paintballing is a great way to blow off steam. Working in teams you battle to splat as many people from the rival team with your paintball gun. You have to work together and communicate well to win and prevent your team being targeted. It is a great fun and an entertaining way for your workmates to bond and build cooperation skills.

  1. Escape rooms

Escape rooms London is popular with friends and colleagues looking for an adrenaline rush. You have to work as a team to solve puzzles and complete tasks in order to escape. There are a number of themed rooms available across the city so you can choose one that suits your work colleagues. Escape rooms are a good way for teams to pool their knowledge and give everyone a chance to help free the group.

  1. Raft building

Water sports are always good fun and building a raft together is a brilliant way to build team spirit and communication skills. You will start the day by learning how to build a raft. You then work with your team to construct the best raft you can before taking part in a challenge against the other teams to complete the course and keep your boat afloat.

  1. Stand-up comedy night

London is home to some fantastic stand-up comedians. You can see well-known stars like Russell Howard or Michael McIntyre at large theatres and art centers or less known comics at smaller venues and pubs. There is plenty of choices but remember to book in advance to get the best seats. Laughter is a great way to unwind and release stress and comedy nights are ideal if you want something that is fewer hands on.

  1. Pamper and wellness day

If your team are in urgent need of some TLC then why not shut up shop and tell them all to slip into some comfortable clothes for a pamper and wellness day? There are several ways you can do this. Some companies offer to bring a pamper day to your office but if you want to get out of the work environment then there are also spa and wellness centers that cater for groups. You can treat your staff to a massage, a pedicure, a facial or even a group yoga session. Most offer bespoke packages to suit your individual needs. People who have stressful jobs tend to find pamper and wellness days especially beneficial.
