There are rumours the property market in London is about to cool, well we at the TLE are not so sure. These are the top ten most expensive studio apartments in London, yes that’s right STUDIO; no separate bedroom/kitchen. However, on the plus side you can probably fry up some bacon while lying in bed. We think that’s a positive…

All properties are from Zoopla and are correct as of 13/06/14

10.  The Belvedere, Bedford Row, WC1R £680,000

Brand New Spacious Off-Plan Luxury Manhattan Style Studio (350 sq ft) on the Second Floor of a Unique Building. It is in the Heart of London only a two min walk to Holborn Underground (Zone 1) Note of caution “Manhattan Style studio,” doesn’t mean it is any bigger than the gold old English “Studio apartment.”

9. Addison Gardens, W14, £725,000

A large versatile studio space with a spacious double aspect room with high ceilings, stripped wooden floors and Victorian style fireplaces. 7.Covent Garden, WC2E, £780,000

5. Strand, Covent Garden, WC2R, £899,000

4. Fitzroy Place, Fitzrovia, W1W £950,000

A “large”,  studio apartment (422 sq ft ) with a private balcony overlooking a beautifully landscaped courtyard and rose gardens. In addition a residents’ lounge offers the opportunity to relax and watch TV in superbly furnished surroundings or entertain in style in the private dining room. 3. One Blackfriars, SE1, £1,100,000

Off plan studio flat, so you can part with your money, but can’t move in until Spring 2018. One Blackfriars will be amongst the tallest residential developments in Europe. Residents have the benefit of a resident only spa, gym and swimming pool, with a resident’s cinema room, snow room, wine store and Business Suite.  Is it just me or do you expect a 365 days a year Santa giving out presents in the snow room for that price?

2. St. George Wharf, Vauxhall, SW8 £1,153,800

Ok you get double glazing, parking, swimming pool, porter, waterfront views and wooden floor, I accept that, but at the end of the day, it is a room in a building. The idea is it is a crash pad for the elite, and at the price you can see why. A lot of money to live in Vauxhall, to honest.

1. The Tower, Vauxhall, London, SW8, £1,153,800

Well I am clearly wrong about Vauxhall, as the joint most expensive studio in London is next door to St. George Wharf. This apartment is 641 sq ft, which is quite big and is brand spanking new. It has landscaped gardens, gym and 24 hour concierge. But if that isn’t enough you can hit the numerous gay nightclubs that are just around the corner, or pretend you are a spy and hang around outside the MI5 building. Your call.
