Support for second referendum grows as thousands set to take to the streets

"Brexit is a failed product of a failed government. It is that easy".

Support for a second referendum has grown significantly ahead of a National Rejoin March in London today.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to be part of the rally starting in Hyde Park at Noon before marching towards Parliament Square.

Since the first rescheduled rejoin march in October 2022, demand to rejoin the EU has increased significantly with an overwhelming majority of people responding to a Mirror poll saying they would be in favour of a second referendum on Brexit.

A staggering 6,777 voted for another chance to return to the European Union (EU), while just 1,130 said the whole thing was done and dusted.

Many expressed their regret for voting Leave, with one saying they “bitterly regret” their original vote while another simply posted, “Brexit is a failed product of a failed government. It is that easy”.

The lineup of confirmed speakers at today’s march includes Guy Verhofstadt MEP who will say there is an absolute need for the UK to rejoin the EU, while Terry Reintke MEP will add that the growing citizen’s movement for rejoin is being followed very closely in Brussels.

Gina Miller, the leader of the True and Fair Party, is also set to speak.

Other speakers include Femi Oluwole, Mike Galsworthy, Steve Bray, Liz Webster, Madeleina Kay and Professor AC Grayling.
