Tomorrow (25th Feb) the BRIT Awards return for their 35th year to crown the best in modern pop music. Chances are the event hasn’t gone by you unnoticed, with BRITs Week and the social vote building hype throughout February.

You probably have your favourites to win too, with British artists such as Sam Smith, FKA Twigs and Alt-J making big waves in the last 12 months, while huge hits from John Legend, Taylor Swift and 5 Seconds Of Summer ensure that the international categories are all to play for as well.

You could take to social media to gauge the buzz around each nominee or visit a betting site or two to compare the odds. The folks over at the DigiHub have conducted some of their own research into the major categories of the BRIT Awards, questioning 200 British music fans to give us an insight into their favourites to walk away with those coveted awards. Check out the results below.

Personally I think this year is going to belong to Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. Both released chart-storming albums and haven’t been off the radar since. Fan or not, Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ was a surefire hit last Spring, while Sheeran’s fancy footwork and pristine pipes in  the video for ‘Thinking Out Loud’ has seen relentless airplay.
