A Flybe plane from Edinburgh to Amsterdam has crashed at Schiphol Airport amid high winds.

Storm Doris has caused disruption across many airports today as winds of up to 100 miles-per-hour hit British and Dutch coasts.

London Heathrow today cancelled ten per cent of flights in and out of the airport and Schiphol cancelled 90 due to strong winds.

A video has been posted online showing a FlyBe Dash 8 propeller plane with a collapsed right landing gear on approach to the airport.

A major incident was declared by airport officials after the crash just before 5pm local time.

All passengers disembarked the plane without injury and were transported back to the terminal. Passenger Matt Lorenson from Edinburgh wrote: “Everyone is ok. We’re away to get drunk. Great day to move to Holland.”
