A dozy lorry driver was fined and shamed by police on social media for sticking flags and decorative tassels all over his windscreen.

Cheshire Police stopped and searched the HGV in Sandbach, Cheshire, on Monday (25/11) evening.

Cheshire HGV Cops posted a picture of the cluttered dashboard on Twitter.

They said: “HGV stopped at Sandbach this evening.

“Windscreen was heavily cluttered with accessories preventing the driver from having a clear view of not only the front mirror but the road ahead.

“Driver fined and prosecuted.”

Commenting on Twitter, Chris Reeves said: “So called professional!”

Another user, Paul Kingsley, said: “Holy Moly. Unbelievable.”

*Last month lorry driver Robert Bradbury, 50, was jailed for killing cyclist Dr Suzanna Bull after his view was obscured by his dashboard tray-table.
