The Tory MP is returning to face questions about his political future in Westminster, but received some support from the former prime minister.
“They are allies of ours, they do invest a huge amount of money in this country", the former prime minister said.
The former PM and Labour Party leader, who is one of 718 Privy Councillors, was in attendance at the ceremony.
They told the former PM that he should regard PMQs as a theatrical performance rather than seeing it as if it were a genuine question and answers session.
"The country at the moment can't afford a whole wave of public sector strikes", he said.
