The Lib Dems came third in the seat in 2019 and would need a swing of 23.6 per cent to win in a by-election.
If Labour and the Liberal Democrats can come to an agreement, more by-election misery lies in wait for the Conservatives.
It comes amid speculation the former culture secretary was struck from Boris Johnson’s resignation honours list.
The Lib Dems urged Rishi Sunak to put the list “through the shredder”.
Unsurprisingly, the three main candidates are all expected to receive peerages in Johnson's resignation list.
"The entire remain establishment could sense that they were about to help remove the bloke who got us out of the EU." said Dorries
A mass cull of blue ticks from legacy accounts began on Thursday afternoon.
"I reckon this could prove to be the magic bullet that gets Nadine Dorries booted out of politics and barred from the House of Lords", one person said.
