Radamel Falcao’s loan move to Manchester United was the major deadline day signing as Premier League summer spending hit a record £835m.

The twenty times English champions decided to spend big, breaking the English transfer record. They signed Argentinian winger Angel di maria for £60 million along with English International left back Luke Shaw ,Marcos Rojo and Dany Blind.

Their fierce rivals Liverpool saw their controversial main man Luis Suarez,  moving to Spanish giants Barcelona, but replaced him with Bad boy Balotelli. Liverpool brought in more then eight players taking their spending to more than £100 million. However, the Luis Suarez deal the other way, still stands as the biggest deal of the season.

The transfer window may well be closed, but some players are still on the move as free agents. Also  some parts of the transfer window are still open, so business can be done. In India a new format of their football league is being launched, allowing them to make further signings. So far, clubs there have signed world class players such as Alessandro Del Piero  and Robert Pires. Transfers in this league are not included because most players are free agents and retired from top level of football. Allegedly, former world player of the year Ronaldinho is also in talks with the Isl franchise .
