Some schools have closed their doors just days after reopening, while others have told whole classes and year groups to self-isolate for two weeks following confirmed cases.
Since schools reopened, there has already been a spate of Covid-19 infections among teachers and pupils.
“We are hearing stories of teachers being told they must travel hundreds of miles for a test – the Government must act on this immediately.”
Number 10 is yet to confirm whether the prime minister and his staff will self isolate.

The U-turn comes after it was announced that secondary students in Scotland will have to wear face coverings in school corridors and communal areas from Monday.
New analysis from Public Health England found 121 cases were linked to the outbreaks, 30 in children and 91 in staff.
“So we have schools putting out measures that they have not consulted with their staff on."
