Suella Braverman’s hypocritical stance on immigration was laid bare live on television.
On Thursday, Tory-turned-Reform MP was appearing on Good Morning Britain to promote her new book ‘Patriot: Empire, Betrayal and Hope.’
During her appearance on GMB, Braverman argued there was a narrative that people should be “ashamed” of British history, and said the British Empire’s influence had hugely benefitted her parents and grandparent.
At this point, presenter Kate Garraway pointed out to Braverman that it sounded like she was pretty “pro-migration.”

Braverman replied: “Not today.”
“In 21st century Britain we have far too much immigration into this country,” she added.
When the former home secretary then started attacking previous Conservative governments for their immigration policy, Garraway reminded Braverman she was part of this.
She claimed she “battled against” the government, adding that the book “reads as if it’s one woman’s battle against the Tory machine.”
But Garraway couldn’t get over Braverman’s contradictory stance on the issue.
“When you talk about mass immigration now, it could look a little bit like you’re family came here and flourished but now you want to literally pull up the gang plank for others,” she told the Reform MP.
