Labour record highest polling level since end of 2024

Whilst Andy Burnham's honeymoon might be drawing to a close, there are still some very positive polling results for Labour.

Labour has recorded its highest polling score in any poll since December 2024 as the party continues to enjoy a boost in popularity under Andy Burnham.

When Burnham became Labour leader and prime minister, the party saw a significant jump in support and managed to overtake Reform in the polls for the first time in over a year.

As Burnham’s honeymoon period draws to an end, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the polls have levelled out somewhat, with Reform having even regained their lead with YouGov in recent weeks.

But whilst the right wing media are keen to already paint this as the beginning of the end for Burnham, here’s a timely reminder that this is far from the case.

The latest polling from Deltapoll has put Labour on 30%, in first place and leading Reform UK by three points.

Meanwhile, the Tories are a huge seven points back in third on 20%, whilst the Greens and Lib Dems are both on 8%.

As pointed out by polling aggregator Election Maps UK on X, this is the highest percentage for Labour in any poll since December 2024.

Polling such as this is already bearing fruit in the real world as well. Just last week, Reform lost two council seats in by-elections, one of which was to Labour.
