Labour 6/5 to win Scottish majority at next general election

"The SNP look like a waning force", William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said.

Labour are now 6/5 with William Hill to win the majority of Scottish seats in the next general election, following a landslide by-election triumph in Rutherglen and Hamilton West.

Labour managed only one seat in Scotland at the 20019 general election, but the leading bookmaker price Kier Starmer’s party at 1/4 to win over 15 seats and 2/5 to win more than 20 seats as they seek to wrestle control from the SNP.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “It might seem unthinkable after the virtual wipeout of Labour in Scotland in 2019, but last night’s Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election hinted that Labour could be making a comeback north of the border.

“We make them odds on to secure over 20 Scottish seats when the UK public next go to the polls, and with the SNP looking a waning force, Labour are 6/5 to secure a majority of the 59 seats in the next general election.”
