Thieves ripped a cash machine out of a supermarket shop with a massive DIGGER.

The shop front of the Budgens in Hullbridge, Essex appears to have been completely destroyed in the raid this morning (Tues).

Debris littered the pavement in pictures taken this morning, and a digger was seen outside.

The heist has left the inside of the store completely exposed.

Police say they were called at 3am to reports that the machine had been removed from the shop.

According to a tweet by Essex Police, two vehicles believed to have been used in the theft are being recovered.

Essex Police has been contacted for comment.

Journalism in Britain is under threat. The government is becoming increasingly authoritarian and our media is run by a handful of billionaires, most of whom reside overseas and all of them have strong political allegiances and financial motivations.

Our mission is to hold the powerful to account. It is vital that free media is allowed to exist to expose hypocrisy, corruption, wrongdoing and abuse of power. But we can't do it without you.
