Piers Morgan has been left licking his wounds AGAIN following round two of his deep-dive into the Israeli/ Hamas conflict.

Renowned Egyptian comedian and TV host Bassem Youssef delivered a compelling and humor-infused commentary on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict during an interview with the TV host, a segment that quickly went viral on social media.

In a widely-circulated video, Morgan inquired about Youssef’s perspective on the tragic Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7th. While condemning the assaults, Youssef also highlighted the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza and the civilian casualties resulting from Israeli retaliatory air strikes.

Youssef, drawing on personal experience as his wife’s relatives’ house was bombed in Gaza, wittily remarked on the repetitive nature of such events. His humour took a darker turn as he sarcastically commented on the resilience of Palestinians, drawing a parallel with his marriage.

“I asked my wife’s family if Hamas forced them to stay home so that they could be bombed and can be used as human shield and she denied.”

Addressing conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s controversial remarks on annexing Gaza, Youssef posed a poignant question about the escalating death toll, challenging the drastic solution proposed.

The comedian lauded Israel for a unique practice among military forces – warning civilians before airstrikes, albeit with a touch of satire. He questioned the Israeli military’s actions, including civilian casualties in areas without Hamas presence.

Youssef expressed agreement on neutralising Hamas but questioned the logic behind broader civilian casualties. He critiqued Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of fracturing the Israeli community and making a plea for accountability regarding the use of resources in the conflict.

With a blend of satire and sincerity, Youssef called for a change in perception and criticised the victimisation narrative perpetuated by Israel.
