Fit for Christmas – Edge Cycle

By Charlotte Hope Lifestyle Editor @TLE_Lifestyle I get really blubbery in the Winter. I hate it. It’s cold and I want to stay indoors and drink tea and eat chocolate/anything in the house. Everything in the house. In addition, the second the clock strikes midnight on December 1st it is a struggle not to eat my entire advent calendar and drink gallons of mulled wine. A friend of mine has a theory that in December ‘a cold wind blows’ and...

14/11/14 – Kardashian/Jessica Ennis/Diplo

By Charlotte Hope Lifestyle Editor @TLE_Lifestyle Kim Kardashian tries to ‘break the internet’  Kim Kardashian (West), who I’ve frankly given too much Column space to already, has tried to ‘break the internet’in conjunction with Paper magazine, with a cover featuring her famous bottom in all its naked glory. Naked and really greasy looking. It’s huge, everyone. It’s absolutely fucking massive. My friends have commented on what they think is an unattractive part of her body, but I can’t stop looking...

FIFA corruption a blight on the beautiful game

By David de Winter – Sports Editor @davidjdewinter  @TLE_Sport  The announcement by FIFA’s self-appointed ‘independent’ ethics committee that it was closing its investigation into alleged corruption over the bidding process to host the 2018 and 2022 World Cups was not surprising.  If I’d set up my own ‘independent ethics committee’ made-up of my cronies to overview corruption in my own company I’d probably come to the same conclusion.  “The Investigatory Chamber of the FIFA did not find any violations or...

Data from SendGrid has revealed the number of emails read on iPhones doubled in London, with people in Manchester reading five times more emails on theirs. The number of emails opened on Android devices also shot up, increasing by 40 per cent from 2013. That compares to almost stagnant figures recording on Windows...

Mum & dad…you’re failures

By Charlotte Hope - Lifestyle Editor I always thought my parents did quite well for themselves (thank you very much) but it turns out they didn't, they are beneath me; strange as I still borrow cash off them. But it turns out I am in the minority, as according to new research modern Brits believe they are more successful than their parents ever were. A study of 2,000 current British workers looked at the relationship between their careers and the...

Cowspiracy – Review

By Nick Figgis A seriously inconvenient truth, but it might be time we face it. Kuhn and Anderson's thrilling documentary is a rare gem in environmental film – it poses questions and actually answers them. I watched most of Cowspiracy muttering expletives under my breath. For a meat and dairy eater, whose girlfriend has been known to ask if I “want some toast with my butter,” it's an eye opener but not in the way you might expect. Fear not,...
