In news that will offend many hard working people struggling by on low salaries, it has been recommended that senior judges in England and Wales should get a huge pay rise.

The reason is that Judges are feeling low morale across the professions and potentially losing income due to pension scheme adjustments.

The Senior Salaries Review Body have said that top judges could receive a pay rise of up to 32 per cent.

A High Court Judge would take home an eye watering £60,000 EXTRA a year. High Court judges currently earn £181,566 – around £30,000 more than Theresa May.

Crown Court judges would receive a 22% rise – taking them to £165,000 – and district judges would get an 8% rise.

Police and prison officers have been restricted to pay rises of less than 3%.
