This incredible six foot snow teddy was built in a back garden in just five hours.

Chris Handscomb, 28, set to work building the impressive sculpture after he awoke to discover scenes reminiscent of a winter wonderland outside his bedroom window.

Heavy snow engulfed the Cotswolds and surrounding areas after 7cm of snow fell overnight in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The giant teddy has screwdrivers for eyes, coasters for his buttons, and his paws were made from compost.

And Chris’ nieces, Darcy Edwards, aged seven, and Ella-Rose, aged five, could not wait to pose for a picture next to the icy creation.

Van driver Chris said: “I’ve always been a bit of a snowman junkie, and as soon as I’d dropped my wife Lucy off at work I got out there to build a snowman.

Callous thief stole homeless man’s guitar while he slept in shop doorway

“As soon as I put the picture on Facebook I got a call from my sister Hollie saying the kids wanted to come round and see it.

“On his head is an army camouflage hat, and he’s wearing a scarf.

“I think it will be there for a month – it’s just solid ice now.
“It’s not going anywhere.”

The teddy is the same height as Chris – who is six foot tall – and was built in his back garden in Cheltenham, Glos.

Accomplished snow sculptor Chris once built a seven foot monster out of snow, which had a six-pack and a spiky hair do.
