CMV’s Marco Polo cruise ship returned incredible footage of the 2015 eclipse using drone cameras.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages had three of their ships in position off the Faroe Islands this morning and an airborne drone camera ready to catch the total solar eclipse. The unique natural display of the moon passing across the sun was witnessed by more than 2,500 passengers onboard three CMV ships.
Mike Hall CMV’s Head of Marketing, said “We had a drone with its camera on board Marco Polo today. It must be the smallest ‘aircraft’ we have had on the ship’s helipad! All passengers had been issued with special viewing glasses.”
