Greggs has launched the first wave of its 2026 Christmas menu, with a new take on the traditional mince pie and the return of a popular festive snack after four years away.

The high street bakery has brought back several seasonal favourites, alongside a new Sweet Mince Pie Roll aimed at those looking to get into the festive spirit early.

The new addition puts a Greggs twist on the classic mince pie, combining sweet mincemeat made with vine fruits, Bramley apples and candied citrus peel with layers of golden, flaky puff pastry. The roll is finished with a dusting of icing sugar and freshly baked daily.

Having tried it, we can safely say it lives up to the billing. Thanks to its sweeter filling and apple flavours, it’s perfect for those who are usually a bit on the fence about mince pies.

Traditionalists need not worry, however, as Greggs’ classic Sweet Mince Pies are also returning. The vegan-friendly treats will once again feature fruity mincemeat, offering a more familiar option for customers after a taste of Christmas.

Greggs brings back Pigs in Blankets

One of the biggest returns on this year’s menu is Greggs’ Pigs in Blankets, which are making their comeback after four years off the menu.

The snack consists of six pork sausages wrapped in smoked streaky bacon, served in a convenient pot for customers looking for a festive bite on the go.

The bakery is also bringing back its Christmas Cake Slice, packed with festive fruit, alongside Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbreads topped with caramel and white chocolate.

The first wave of the seasonal menu is available in Greggs shops nationwide from Thursday 1 October, with further festive products expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Customers can also order through Click + Collect on the Greggs app, or get their festive favourites delivered through Just Eat and Uber Eats.

How to get free food with the Greggs app

For those planning to make the most of the festive menu, the Greggs app also offers a rewards scheme.

Customers can earn a free item after making nine purchases across different product categories, including hot drinks, sandwiches, savoury bakes and sweet treats.

The app is free to download, giving regular Greggs customers another way to make their money go further as the Christmas menu arrives.
