We’ve been bending TLE Playlist rules this month, such is the wealth of utter tunes rained upon us in March. And that’s even after some seriously tough cuts from the running. Our cup spilleth over.

Can you handle 16 tracks? I think you can handle 16 tracks. Settle in for one hour and one minute of March Madness, kicking off with some new, mellow Little Simz, and some ever-so-slightly newer, much less mellow Tropical Fuck Storm.

This month Billie Eilish released the phenomenal WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, sounding like a pranged-out Lorde, and Nilüfer Yanya loosed a not-so-sleepy sleeper hit on the world with Miss Universe.

The Black Keys came back. Solange came back. Pond came back. And none of them were even a bit rubbish.

There really isn’t a skipper in the lot, veering from the cut-up electronic of Holly Herndon, to the pristine folk of The Mountain Goats, and the twinkling post rock of lovely new American Football.

What a month. April better be more restrained (new Weyes Blood making this statement a mockery already) or this month-on-month hyperbole is going to get old.
