A dad-of-two has captured this amazing picture of a golden sunset — while sitting on a deck chair in Loch Lomond.

Mark Harris set up a chair in the water and used a remote trigger to photograph himself during the sunset at 10.30pm.

The 45-year-old amateur photographer captured the amazing sunset on Monday (June 25) at Firkin Point — a picnic area on the loch.

The stay-at-home dad from Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, said he felt proud of his image of the golden sunset.

Mark said: “I’m proud of the image, as it’s fairly unique and it was a beautiful sunset.

“It was a beautiful sunset so was feeling happy as any photographer does when it’s a gorgeous sunset.

“Also felt a bit crazy sitting on a deck chair in the Loch.”

He added: “For this shot, I took a 1.6-second exposure to smooth the water and used a remote trigger to release the shutter to capture myself sitting out in the water.

The father-of-two has been taking pictures for the last four years.
