Ah, what a difference a week makes: feels like only yesterday we were bringing you the best in outdoor art to enjoy in our sunny city. Now that the clouds have rolled over just in time for the Bank Holiday (standard), here’s a quick arts guide for Sunday and Monday, with a few indoor options for those damp moments.

Pick Me Up graphic arts festival

The graphic arts festival returns with drawings and prints by artists, creative groups and galleries from all over the world; celebrating graphic design in all its manifestations.

As well as high profile artists, illustrators and designers, there’s the opportunity to learn about processes and techniques at live demonstrations, as well as creating some of your own graphic art.

Somerset House, Sunday 3rd May 10am and Monday 4th May 10am, £10 (£8 concessions)

The Alice Look

During Alice in Wonderland’s 150th year, trace Alice’s evolution from follower-of-fashion to pop culture trend-setter through a selection of garments, photographs, rare editions and a brand new commission by Roksanda pattern-cutter Josie Smith. The display shows how Alice has been adopted and adapted across the world in all walks of life: in music videos from Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne and Aerosmith, to a Lolita-style outfit from 80s Japan.

The V&A Museum of Childhood, Bethnal Green, until 1st November 10am-5:45pm, free
