The Premier League leaders have made a £60 million deadline day move to sign Riyad Mahrez, and in breaking news he has just made a transfer request. The Leicester legend is keen on a move and is forcing the move through to what will inevitably be much higher wages and Champions League football.

Foxes fans will be gutted to lose the winger who guided Leicester into the Premier League and won player of the year 2015 – 2016.

City are looking for cover for the injured Leroy Sane – Leicester City are adamant they don’t want to sell but the lure of playing under Pep Guardiola may be too good for the player to turn down.

Leicester are under no pressure to sell, it is believed they have bumped up their asking price closer to £90 million after the recent big money moves of Phillippe Coutinho and Virgil van Dijk.

The Algerian handed in a transfer request in the summer and was close to a move to Roma, but that deal fell through.

It will be a tense 24 hours for Leicester City fans waiting to see if his latest transfer request forces through a move to the Etihad.
