What Are The Best Long-Haul All Inclusive Holidays To Book?

With the overabundance of cheap holidays and flights around the world right at our fingertips it can be extremely overwhelming when it comes to hunting out your perfect holiday. There is now so much choice out there that picking something out of quite literally thousands and thousands of potential destinations can be quite a struggle. What would be useful is a quick tool to help give you some inspiration, such as a Q&A form or interactive graphic. I stumbled across this all-inclusive holiday generator by Alpharooms and found that you can quickly drill down to your perfect destination by answering a set of 6 travel questions. I was matched with Cancun due to my love of diving and in-flight airline movies! OK, that latter one may be a lie, but the point is that the tool guides you towards the type of destination you enjoy. Have a look yourself and see where you end up – you might just be surprised.

In the meantime I have put together a list of my favourite world destinations that offer some unforgettable all-inclusive packages.

Orlando, Florida

Without a doubt, one of the most popular western destinations, especially if you have youngsters in tow, is, of course, Orlando in the great state of Florida, USA. It’s a direct flight from London and takes around 9½ hours to get there, but it’ll be an unforgettable holiday for the entire family with so much to see and do. Orlando is home to the Disney World Resort, as well as Universal Studios and Seaworld, so even if you go for a fortnight you probably won’t have enough time to see everything on offer. A big bonus however is that big resorts like Disney World offer all-inclusive options allowing you to budget up-front and avoid any of those sneaky charges that some large entertainment resorts are renowned for. Of course though you don’t have to stay on site, there are plenty of competing hotels in close proximity to the main attractions all vying for your money. Many also offer additional services such as free shuttle travel to the Disney resort and family buffet deals in the evening.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

A number of all-inclusive resorts and hotels lie on the beachfront itself fringing endless sandy golden beaches such as the world famous Copacabana and Ipanema. Bask in the Brazilian sun and enjoy a Caipirinha cocktail by the pool knowing all the while that you won’t have to spend another penny for the satisfaction.

If you do decide to venture out (and you certainly won’t be disappointed if you do!) into this amazing city, you’ll never be bored with so many incredible experiences to be had. Visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue at the peak of Corcovado Mountain, take a selfie at the Escadaria Selarón or explore your wild side at Tijuca National Park, a rainforest covering some 32 km2. This February also sees the return of the world famous Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro where the streets will be buzzing with life, soul and rhythm. It’s one you definitely don’t want to miss!

Phuket, Thailand

The beautiful country of Thailand is one of the most revered backpacking destinations, however, on the east side of mainland, away from the endless wave of pool and full-moon parties, lies a number of popular all-inclusive resorts. Dotted around the full length of the island, these package holidays appeal to those of all ages, from young families to retirees, and many include some amazing rainforest and island tours within the price. The province is packed with various shops, markets, bars and restaurants, and bustling nightlife, but there are also smaller, quieter hamlets around that would be more suitable for families with younger children.
