Getting home from Knebworth has long been one of the biggest logistical considerations for concert-goers, but Oasis promoters have unveiled an ambitious transport plan ahead of the band’s four shows at the Hertfordshire venue next September.
For the first time at a Knebworth concert, special trains will run from Stevenage to London King’s Cross until 1.30am after every show.
The direct journeys will take approximately 30 minutes, with one-way tickets capped at £10 exclusively for Oasis Live ’27 ticket holders.
Fans are being actively encouraged not to drive to Knebworth, with organisers also laying on what they expect to be the largest coach operation for a cultural event in the UK.
Oasis will play Knebworth on September 11, 12, 18 and 19, 2027, marking the band’s return to the legendary venue more than three decades after their era-defining concerts there in 1996.
How to get to and from Oasis at Knebworth
There will be several dedicated transport options for Oasis fans travelling to Knebworth, including late-night trains back towards London, return coaches from across Britain and camping for those attending the Saturday concerts.
Promoter Rob Ballantine said organisers wanted fans to take advantage of the new options rather than travelling by car.
“Oasis have challenged us to make Oasis Live ‘27 at Knebworth the best possible fan experience – this is our goal,” he said.
“To help create the best possible experience, we are encouraging fans not to come by car, but to take advantage of the new options we have created for Oasis Live ‘27 at Knebworth.”
Oasis Knebworth trains: how to get back to London
One of the biggest changes concerns fans travelling between Knebworth and London.
After each Oasis concert, special direct trains will operate from Stevenage station to London King’s Cross between approximately 11.30pm and 1.30am.
The journey is expected to take around 30 minutes and tickets will cost no more than £10 one way for Oasis concert-goers.
Fans should note that the special ticket covers the journey back from Stevenage to London only. Concert-goers will still need to arrange their own outward journey to Knebworth.
After the show, a stewarded and illuminated pedestrian route will direct fans from the Knebworth concert site to Stevenage station.
The late services could prove particularly useful for fans staying in London who had been concerned about how to get home from Oasis at Knebworth after the concert finishes.
Coaches to Oasis at Knebworth from more than 120 locations
Dedicated return coaches will also operate from more than 120 locations across the UK.
Fans will be able to select from three coach ticket zones through Ticketmaster and choose their pick-up location and seat.
Coaches will drop passengers around a five-minute walk from the concert arena.
After Oasis finish, passengers will have an hour to board their return coach. Food outlets, bars and toilets will remain open during this period for those travelling by coach.
Organisers believe it will amount to the largest movement of fans by coach to a single live event yet seen in Britain.
Can you camp at Oasis Knebworth?
Yes – but camping will only be available to fans attending the two Saturday Knebworth concerts on September 11 and September 18.
A purpose-built Campsite Village will have its own car park and dedicated entrance to the concert site.
Fans with tickets for either Saturday show will be able to add camping to their booking for £60 per person.
The package allows fans to arrive on Friday, park at the campsite, stay overnight and walk directly from the camping area into the concert arena.
Entertainment will run in the Campsite Village on both Friday and Saturday nights, with fans then able to leave on Sunday morning.
The idea is partly designed to take vehicles off local roads during the busiest periods by allowing concert-goers to arrive the day before their show.
New accessible viewing platform at Knebworth
Accessibility arrangements are also being expanded for Oasis’ return.
Organisers say the concerts will feature the largest accessible viewing platform ever constructed for a Knebworth gig.
Positioned in front of the new grandstands, it will be accessible by ramps and offer a direct, front-facing view of the stage.
Promoters say they are also working on measures to make journeys into and out of the greenfield site easier for disabled fans, with further accessibility information due to be announced.
Grandstand seats and hospitality
Another Knebworth first will see grandstand seating constructed at the rear of the arena.
The reserved seats will face the stage and will be open to the elements, with access via stairs.
Toilets will be positioned immediately behind the grandstands, while a pedestrian bridge will provide access to hospitality, food and drink in the Knebworth House Gardens.
When are Oasis playing Knebworth in 2027?
Oasis will perform four Knebworth concerts as part of Oasis Live ’27:

- Saturday, September 18, 2027
- Sunday, September 19, 2027
The dates come more than 30 years after Liam and Noel Gallagher led Oasis through their famous 1996 Knebworth shows, which became some of the defining concerts of the Britpop era.
The Knebworth dates form part of a 38-show 2027 tour spanning the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and the United States.
How to get Oasis Knebworth tickets
Fans hoping to buy tickets must register through the official Oasis website by 4pm BST on Thursday, September 17.
Successful applicants will receive a unique, non-transferable code giving them access to an allocated ticket sale window.
UK ticket sales will take place across Friday September 25, Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27, with three sales windows on each day.
There will be no general sale or other public presales outside the registration system, according to organisers.
Standard tickets will be fixed between £71.50 and £266.60 including fees.
With hundreds of thousands of fans expected to descend on Knebworth across the four concerts, organisers’ message is clear: plan how you’re getting there – and, crucially, how you’re getting home – before heading to Hertfordshire.
