An innovative luggage concept that charges your phone when you’re on the go has reached its Kickstarter goal of $125,000 in just six hours and earned over $1,000,000 in pledges since.

G-RO provides an attractive and ergonomic solution to the needs of today’s mobile people in areas of mobility, convenience, comfort, ergonomics, durability, and aesthetics based on innovative engineering and design concepts.

The ‘intelligent luggage’ boasts a number of breakthrough features, including a reinvented wheel for rugged surfaces and terrain and spacious interior to maximise luggage capacity within transport restrictions.

Most notably, the bag introduces ‘power on-the-go’ with G-RO’s Optional Electronic Module which contains a high-powered battery capable of charging a smartphone 10x. The module is also equipped with a location tracker and proximity detector

The bag was designed in collaboration with some of the most advanced luggage manufacturers in the world to ensure that it can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. This greatly reduces the start-up costs associated with bringing this product to market and disrupts the industry’s typical conservative approach to luggage innovation.

Travel-Light CEO Netta Shalgi said, “We are so grateful to all of the supporters that have helped us get to this point. G-RO is meant for everyone and giving people the opportunity to customize their bags will truly help them make it their own. These stretch goals will take is one step closer to bringing G-RO to the world and we are very excited for the next phase of this Kickstarter campaign.”
