Earlier this week, former chief executive Peter Murrell, who is Nicola Sturgeon’s husband, was arrested on Wedneday.
The former first minister said she had ‘no prior knowledge of Police Scotland’s action or intentions’ after her husbands arrest.
Detectives are said to have questioned him and searches have been carried out at a number of properties. Mr Murrell married Sturgeon in 2010.
The Scottish Tories want to make use of the Finance Secretary’s scathing attack on her SNP leadership rival, Humza Yousaf.
The Labour leader said his party has an opportunity following the infighting within the SNP seen during the leadership contest.
John Nicolson had said politicians who put on too much make-up for television ‘tandoori themselves’.
“I'm a supporter of equal marriage…I'm a Muslim. I'm somebody who's proud of my faith…I don't use my faith as a basis of legislation.”
The SNP’s Westminster leader, Stephen Flynn, noted that his own party would enter the next general election with ‘fresh leadership’.
