Round Two is underway in the NBA Playoffs.  From my first round picks I got 6 from 8 on the predictions correct so let’s see how I get on in the second round.

In the East, Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls took early leads in their games against Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers respectively.  When it’s all said and done though I can see Cleveland Cavaliers progressing, even without Kevin Love who is out for the remainder of the season following surgery on his shoulder.

The Cavaliers success I think will pair them against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Final.  Even though Washington did sweep Toronto with ease in the first round whereas the Hawks had a few issues with the Brooklyn Nets, I’m sticking with the Hawks to get through their series.

Flipping over to the Western Conference, we were spoilt with a classic between the L.A Clippers and San Antonio Spurs.  I did say this will be the best series in my last post, and called the correct 4-3 score in favour of L.A.

Now Chris Paul faces up against James Harden who some may feel was robbed for the MVP award by Stephen Curry.  I’m going for another classic between these two great teams and again I’m tipping ‘Clippers Nation’ to edge it.  The Golden State Warriors I can see getting past the Memphis Grizzlies with no real problems.  They have been coasting really for months making the West look easy.  Is it their destiny to win it all?  Only time will tell.

Check back for more NBA updates as the kings of the court start to take their places.
