Labour’s Keir Mather, 25, will become the youngest MP in the Commons after overturning a 20,137 majority in Selby & Ainsty.
The Tories held the seat with a majority of just 495, while Laurence Fox and Piers Corbyn couldn't even get 1,000 votes between them.
The failure to overturn the Tory majority in the seat was dubbed “Uloss” by a party insider.
A similar swing across the country would result in Labour winning more seats than in Tony Blair’s 1997 landslide, the party has claimed.
The party wrote to the newspaper’s editor to express its disapproval at the picture of Susan Hall used on its front page.
Labour MP and Defence Committee member Kevan Jones said Mr Ellwood’s Afghanistan video was ‘a step too far’.
"In almost every government administered area of our lives things are not working", Patrick Grant said in the viral clip.
"As the political wing of Just Stop Oil, it is the Labour Party not the taxpayer that should be paying the bill", he said.
