Reform UK suffered a humiliating result in a London council by-election this week, as their candidate finished stone dead last with just 51 votes.
The by-election took place in Trinity ward on Wandsworth Borough Council on Thursday, and saw Labour hold onto the ward with 47.5% of the vote for their candidate Shirin Chiara Georgiani.
The Tory candidate Otto Jacobsson finished in second, as Labour and the Conservatives won the lion’s share of the vote.

But all the way down as the bottom of the list, behind both the Green Party and Liberal Democrat candidates, was Reform’s Josh Stanton, who won just 51 votes.
This equated to 1.6% of the vote, which was a drop of 2.6% on May’s local elections.
Reacting to the result online, some reckoned it would be a reality check for Reform’s London mayoral candidate Laila Cunningham.
Overall, it was another bad night of local by-elections for Reform.
Along with the double-digit vote haul in Wandsworth, the party were also booted out of a ward on St Helens Borough Council, losing to Labour just four months after they’d claimed the ward in May.
And in Dover, Reform’s candidate was beaten by the Green Party in a by-election that could be a sign of how a fragmented right would play into the left’s hands at a general election.
There were even some worrying signs in the by-elections won by Reform.
Whilst they held onto the Throckley, Walbottle & Newburn ward in Newcastle upon Tyne, Reform saw their vote share drop by almost 5%.
These results come the week after Reform lost two seats in council by-elections, whilst the party continue to slump in the national polls.
