Jacob Rees-Mogg was given a tough time by broadcaster Michael Crick as the pair became embroiled in a feisty exchange.
This week, Crick appeared on Rees-Mogg’s GB News channel to discuss Andy Burnham‘s Labour Party conference.
But unlike in the past where interviewees have perhaps been deceived by Rees-Mogg’s posh accent and long words, Crick was having none of it, giving as good as he got with the former Tory MP.

He started by hitting out at Rees-Mogg for labelling Burnham “hard-left”, telling him: “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
The former Newsnight political editor took aim at Rees-Mogg and the free market capitalism that he stands for.
Crick said this ideology had failed, pointing to the housing market, care system and water industry of just some examples of this.
When Rees-Mogg tried to come back, Crick didn’t relent, saying Rees-Mogg had already had his “ridiculous monologue.”
The conversation ended up focusing on the sale of council houses in the 1980s and how this had affected the housing market, as Crick took on Rees-Mogg on his arguments.

Reacting on social media, people praised Crick, with one person writing that the broadcaster was “in no mood for Jacob Rees-Mogg’s failed ideas wrapped in a posh accent.”
