A man has died after a £60k Range Rover crashed into his Audi early this morning.

The Range Rover driver and his three passengers were arrested over dangerous driving and drug offences after emergency services were called at 2.13am.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the collision under the Green Man Roundabout on the A12 Eastbound in Waltham Forest, north east London.

Passengers from both vehicles were taken to hospital but have suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

“Two cars, an Audi and a Range Rover, were involved in a serious collision which left both cars severely damaged.

“A man aged in his late twenties, thought to be the driver of the Audi, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

Journalism in Britain is under threat. The government is becoming increasingly authoritarian and our media is run by a handful of billionaires, most of whom reside overseas and all of them have strong political allegiances and financial motivations.

Our mission is to hold the powerful to account. It is vital that free media is allowed to exist to expose hypocrisy, corruption, wrongdoing and abuse of power. But we can't do it without you.
