Man eats raw veal heart to taunt vegans at food festival

A man sporting a “Go Vegan And Die” tank top has sparked fury after he ate a raw veal heart at a vegan food festival.

Witnesses say the heart was “literally dripping” with blood as the man, who has not revealed his name, devoured the slab of raw meet at the Amsterdam event.

Police decided to confront him after receiving complaints from attendees of the Vegan Food Festival, the Independent has reported, which was reportedly the first vegan food festival ever to be held in the Dutch capital.

He was accompanied by an assistant and cameraman in front of the festival and left after an hour.

A spokesperson for the Vegan Food Festival said: “While it is of course not forbidden to eat raw meat, it was of course a shocking sight because there was a puddle of blood and fat.

“Besides, there were lots of elderly people and children. At that time a special children’s programme was going on.”
