There was a scary near-miss for a group of dancers when a falling panel narrowly missed them during rehearsals for Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 celebrations.
This weekend, the Freedom 250 event is taking place to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence.
But the Trump-organised event has been beleaguered by low crowds and the farcical renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The latest mishap to strike the event took place during rehearsals in Washington D.C. on Thursday, when a panel fell from a part of the stage set, almost landing on a group of dancers.

Footage shared online by attorney and independent journalist Aaron Parnas shows a large panel crashing to the ground behind the dancers who were singing a song.
The panel shatters on impact, with the performers stopping in shock.
The stage in question has been erected on the White House lawn for the Freedom 250 celebration, set to take place on July 4.

The event is described as “a spectacular tribute to America and a celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary that will bring America’s story to life through beautiful storytelling, patriotic performances, and the largest fireworks show in history.”
Trump has also pledged to deliver a “really long” speech.
Whilst this weekend will mark the centrepiece of the 250th anniversary celebrations, the Freedom 250 is comprised of a number of events throughout the summer, including a farcical UFC event on the White House lawn.
Of course, the event has become less about America and more about Trump and his administration.
As the celebrations have become increasingly MAGA themed, a number of artists have decided to pull out of one of the Freedom 250 key events, the Great American State Fair.
Throughout this week, footage has been widely shared on social media of some events taking place to almost no one in attendance.
