These bizarre photos show a lorry tilted on two wheels after getting stuck underneath a bridge.

The vehicle caused delays in Wootton Bassett Road, a main route through Swindon, Wilts., after it became trapped at around 8.40am today (Sat).

Police say the vehicle may have collided with the bridge, causing it to tilt. The road reopened at 11.30am.

Twitter users were quick to mock the driver after the images were posted by Tri-Force Police.

Colin Carroll wrote: “Should have gone to Specsavers.”

Emma Graham wrote: “Did he not know the height of his truck….?”

Liam Quadling wrote: “If only he leaned over just a touch more and he may have made it! Or if he’s not that good at balancing on two wheels… just go around!”

Another user said: “Beggars belief; nothing more than a complete moron.

“If this driver cannot even read height restrictions then they need to have their HGV licence taken away.”

Tri-Force police said: “The vehicle tilted as the bridge is not square into the road so a corner of the vehicle would have hit the bridge first.

“This would have caused the vehicle to shift.”
