Police are on the look-out for heartless crooks after they stalked a pensioner and stole her purse.

Officers from the Northamptonshire force have released cctv of the incident in an effort to identify two men.

The theft took place on January 5 when the woman entered a shop on Corporation Street, Corby, Northants, at 11.50am.

Footage shows one of the men reach around the woman and remove her purse from her coat pocket – the other appears to hide his actions from a passersby.

The victim realised her purse was missing when she reached the store’s tills.

It is thought she was followed to the store after making a withdrawal from a nearby bank’s cash machine.
