A husband has been charged with murder after his wife went missing – TWENTY years ago.

Debbie Griggs was four-and-a-half months pregnant when she disappeared in May, 1999.

The mum-of-three was 34 when she disappeared from her home in Walmer, Kent.

Kent Police announced yesterday they had arrested and charged her husband, Andrew Griggs, on suspicion of murder.

Griggs, 56, was arrested at his home in St Leonards, Dorset, this morning.

On January 12, they wrote: “We have very sad news to bring you tonight.

“Debbie’s mum, Pat Cameron, passed away yesterday morning in the early hours.

“May she rest in peace.”

Griggs is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.
