The girls school choir of Al-Sadiq & Al-Zahra schools performed a heartfelt version of Insha Allah today at the Grenfell Tower fire memorial service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire attended the service alongside members of the Royal Family, PM Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn and 1,500 other guests.

Bishop of Kensington Graham Tomlin said he hoped the tragedy would represent a “time we learnt a new, better way”.

The Al-Sadiq & Al-Zahra schools girls choirs performed Insha Allah, which translates to “If God wills so.”

It opens with the powerfully poignant verse:

Every time
You feel like you cannot go on
You feel so lost and that you’re so alone
All you see is night
And darkness all around
You feel so helpless you can’t see which way to go
Don’t despair
And never lose hope
‘Cause God is always by your side

71 people died in the fire which broke out on June 14th.

This is beautiful ?
