How To Make: Tuna Pâté

Rich and savory with an ever so subtle Tabasco bite, this tuna pâté is a super easy appetiser you can literally whip up in 15 minutes. So easy and comes out perfect every time.

Instead of the usual tuna and mayo sandwich combination, why not turn a can of tuna rather into the perfect snack food as a pâté? By adding a few savory ingredients, fresh garlic, a dash of lemon juice and cream cheese, you can take a single can and turn it into a delicious starter or late-night snack with some crackers.

Another bonus of this appetiser is that tuna is a great source for Omega-3…although the cream cheese in this recipe could up the guilt factor a notch.

After you mix all your ingredients together, you could actually start dipping right away! However, if you put it in the freezer for 10 minutes (the pressed-for-time option) or refrigerate it for a couple hours, the mixture will become more pâté than dip. This will also allow the flavours to “blend” better together for a tastier end result and makes all the difference in the world.

Serve your tuna pâté chilled with plain or melba toast, crackers or celery.
