Our/London Vodka launches a series of unique dinner experiences

Taking place until September, London-based vodka distillers, Our/London, will host a series of dinners at their Hackney Downs base, each cooked by some of the brand’s favourite chefs. Each dinner will intend to emulate each of the involved chefs’ personal interpretations of a relaxed dinner party, inspired by the flavours and unique aromatics of the local vodka – produced, blended and hand-bottled in a micro-distillery beneath Hackney Downs train station.

Throughout the summer, chefs such as Lee Westcott – formerly of recently closed The Typing Room; Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi and Sardine head chef and owner Alex Jackson, will take part in the Dinner at Ours series. Taking place on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th July, Lee Westcott’s dinners will act as one of the chef’s first events since departing The Typing Room. Across both evenings, Lee’s menu will include dishes such as his signature crispy fish skins. Other dishes from the six-course menu will include the likes of ‘asparagus, courgette, ricotta & lardo’; ‘sea trout, apple, kohlrabi & gooseberry’; ‘lamb, pea & black garlic’; ‘pine, honey & lemon’; and chocolate, strawberry & yoghurt’. Each of these dishes will be paired with Our/London vodka cocktails developed with in-house brand ambassador, Fliss Grandsen.

These dinners will also see the launch of the Our/Vodka Course: a sharing serve of chilled vodka, using either neat or infused Our/London Vodka, encouraging a pause in the evening to either cleanse the palate or act as a digestif. Designed by Studio Make Believe, the ceramic apparatus sits on any dinner table, encouraging guests to explore and savour the various elements of Our/London Vodka.

Following Lee Westcott’s dinner, Ikoyi’s Jeremy Chan will serve a West African-inspired menu on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August, followed by a Provencal feast from Sardine’s Alex Jackson on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th September.

Tickets for each event are priced at £50 and include a minimum of four courses, paired with Our/London Vodka cocktails. Tickets are available from eventbrite.co.uk. Further information can be found here.
