The UK’s fourth largest supermarket group said it is hiring for roles including store assistants, manager and cleaners across new shops.
The move deals another heavy blow to London’s languishing stock markets.
It comes after reports of lengthy delays to tea imports from Asia and East Africa due to disruption to shipping in the Red Sea.
