An uninsured motorist was arrested after driving on the wrong side of the road with an iced-up windscreen – towards a POLICE car.
Officers took pictures of the frosted windscreen after pulling over the driver at a petrol station in Peterborough, Cambs., at around 1.25am yesterday (Fri).
The images, which were posted on social media, show the windscreen was almost completed obscured by the ice on the glass.
The man was reported for driving without due care and attention and ordered to appear in court.
His vehicle was also seized by officers, who said they pulled over a number of uninsured drivers that night.
Peterborough police tweeted: “Another uninsured driver off the road after he drove on the wrong side of the road with a frosted over windscreen head on towards police.
“Driver also reported for due care and attention.”
The police who detained the man described his actions as “unacceptable”.
