With Christmas approaching,  holidaymakers can look forward to a wintery wonderland across Europe and beyond. Better still, some of the best holiday deals can be found during the winter period so there’s plenty left to spend on Christmas shopping. We’ve put together some of our fave places for Europe’s famous Christmas markets – all easily accessible from London of course – plus their lastminute.com prices.

Prague from £110pp
This traditional and beautiful Christmas market on Prague’s Old Town Square is set to the sound of local carol singers and you can certainly find some unique Czech offerings from wooden toys, crafts and decorations, to Frankincense, Czech Christmas potpourri (called purpura) and traditional local Christmas cookies. This price is for flights and a two-night stay at the 4* Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in the modern area of Vysocany.

Stockholm from £164pp
Whether you enjoy a traditional or contemporary Christmas, Stockholm has something for you. From the little red stalls in the heart of the Old Town at Stortorget square selling Swedish Christmas sweets, smoked sausage and glögg, to the fun of the ice skating rink in Kungsträdgården.
