Trouble in paradise? Though Reform are keen to put on a united front for the electorate, rumours regarding internal party splits and power struggles among the top brass are starting to do the rounds. Over the weekend, the future of Suella Braverman became the latest major talking point.

Reform respond to resignation rumours
Harry Cole, Editor-at-Large for The Sun, penned a piece regarding the struggles Reform have faced over the last 12 months. If 2025 was the year of their insurgence, 2026 has been the complete opposite – with various scandals chipping away at their once-sizable lead in the polls.
The source of funding for Nigel Farage, alongside the social media outbursts of Zia Yusuf and the performance of the party’s local councils have all contributed to a loss of goodwill for Reform – all of which has, according to Cole, contributed towards putting Suella Braverman on ‘resignation watch’.
His claim has gone down like a lead balloon within Reform circles, and several MPs have chimed in to voraciously dismiss the claims. Almost 24 hours after the initial piece was published, Braverman used her X account to dismiss rumours about her next move, calling the report ‘rubbish’.
“Would have been nice for you to check with me (or my team) before you wrote about me, Harry. To put the record straight: this is rubbish. Attempts to divide us will not work. Reform UK is the last chance to save the country and we’re not going to let anyone stop us.” | Suella Braverman

Deputy Leader Richard Tice also suggested that the recent heatwaves had ‘got to journalists’ in general, accusing The Sun of ‘making stuff up’. The right-leaning publication also got an earful from Lee Anderson, who essentially echoed Braverman’s claims about fact-checking and Reform ‘saving the country’.
“The Reform hating media don’t check the stories. They just make stuff up for clicks. The only party that can save our country is Reform, but the British media is hellbent on stopping us. What do you think that says about them?” | Lee Anderson
