If you’ve ever wondered what a squirming Donald Trump looks like, you’ve got your answer here. There was a truly extraordinary moment at Friday’s White House Correspondents Dinner, when the team of journalists who uncovered the president’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein won a prestigious award.

Trump at the WHCD went about as well as expected…
The dinner, rearranged from earlier in the year when shots were fired at the host venue, is an annual tradition where journalists, politicians, and the president gather in a usually cordial manner. Alas, the mood has somewhat soured during Trump’s time in charge.
The laughs and conviviality are now at a premium. Even last night, the president’s speech – which is meant to be a light-hearted and satirical affair – soon descended into something less dignified. Trump took aim at the journalists in the room, denigrating and criticising many of the big names.
He also used the platform to claim that he’d be running for ‘a fourth term’, and again, falsely claimed that he won the 2020 Election. Current Constitutional limits would prevent Mr. Trump from serving more than two terms in office. But, as proven time and again, these are rules the president has contempt for.

It’s also a bold assumption on his part that the public would willingly elect him back into power. His current approval rating, as per The Economist, stands at -23 points. It is his lowest rating on record, and has dropped consistently since the Wall Street Journal published the infamous ‘letter’.
If you recall, the publication uncovered a creepy communication Trump sent to Epstein for a previous birthday. The letter hinted at ‘having things in common’, ‘wonderful secrets’, and enigmas. Trump’s signature then appeared at the bottom of a woman’s outline, where pubic hair would appear.
The skin-crawling document blew a massive hole in the president’s previous defence, where he claimed to have never been friendly with the notorious paedophile. The WSJ report was seismic in its impact, and on Friday, the team who delivered it were honoured – just a few feet away from The Donald.

It presented a truly incredible scene, where Trump was forced to watch while Wolf Blitzer reeled off their achievements. The host also noted that the president ended up doxxing one of the journalists, and mentioned that he had brough a lawsuit against them to stop its publication.
All the while, POTUS had the cameras and the attention of the room fixated on him. He smirked, he shrugged, and in the end, he may have even squirmed. However, things got even more bizarre when he rose from his seat to SHAKE HANDS with the reporters he had previously tried to surppress.
